How do I reinstall TCP/IP in Windows XP?

• These instructions are recommended for advanced users who are familiar with modifying Windows XP networking components.
• You must log on to Windows with an account with computer administrator privileges

• Click the Start button, and select Control Panel.
• Click the Network and Internet Connections link.
• Click the Network Connections link.
• Right-click your network connection, and select Properties.
• Click the Install button.
• Select Protocol.
• Click the Add button.
• Click the Have Disk button.
• In the Copy Manufactuer's Files From text box, type: c:\windows\inf
• Click OK.
• Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
• Click OK.
• Close all open windows.
• Restart your computer.
